The Kent Raible Chopper is a granulation shear made to cut thin gauge wire to precise lengths for use in granulation. The tiny bits of wire are then melted into small balls or granules, then applied to jewelry.
 
Kent Raible and I worked extensively to design this granulation shear to be very precise, efficient, and easy to use allowing one to make and collect granules with ease.
 
The wire is fed through a receiver, and hits a polished adjustable stop. The hardened blade comes down and chops the wire, which then falls into the chute and then into the tin (provided).
